What is the Microsoft Security Expert Program?
The Microsoft Expert Program was designed to fast-track partners to become Microsoft Cloud Partner Program (MCPP) experts for Microsoft Security. The program provides exclusive resources and benefits to help partners fully develop their practice; from training, to marketing, all the way through to sales execution.

Develop your security practice with Ingram Micro Cloud
The Microsoft Expert Program follows our SONAR framework comprising of six action stages with set goals for each stage.
Prepare to present customers with a clear value proposition for their cybersecurity practice with M365. Partners engage in Microsoft security certification training, workshops and monthly “Ask the Expert” calls with guest speakers from Microsoft, Ingram Micro and subject matter experts.
Focus effort on opportunity closing and increase engagement for new customer recruitment. Partners have access to exclusive “To-Customer” M365 campaign assets to Go-To-Market and are available on Ingram Micro’s self-service Practice Builder Program. Partners were also equipped with Cloud Ascent data for propensity targeting to upsell existing or new customers to Microsoft Cloud with Business Premium.
Drive awareness to the benefits of continued threat assessments and consistent vulnerability scans. Participants are eligible for Microsoft 365 customer lead passing based on their performance in the program – executing required actions by December 2022.
Excellence to help fill in skill gaps and deliver up to 2 security assessments on the partner’s behalf. Execute a least 1 M365 Security Workshop by December 31, 2022.
Partners establish plans for customers in response to vulnerability scans and utilize services needed to support increased adoption of security policies. Partners develop pipeline and close with their dedicated Ingram Micro security BDM. Partners were also aided with Microsoft SMB Workshops to prepare them to carry out detailed workshop debriefs at their end-customer site.
Partners show measurable and consistent value to customers, increasing loyalty and decreasing churn. Ingram Micro also leverages proven vendor relationships like that of QS Solutions, to help bolster value-proposition with data-driven fuel to upsell M365.
What is expected from partners
Total commitment: 100 hours
Commit to business plan (1 hour)
Dedicate two engineers to becoming Microsoft Security certified (200 hours)
Dedicate one engineer to train and deliver CSAT Security Assessments (2 hour)
Execute a Microsoft 365 SMB workshop with 5 participants
Participate in monthly “Ask the Expert” calls with Microsoft and Ingram Micro Cloud leadership (3 hours)
Deliver at least two (2) Microsoft 365 security assessments
